Sharks are probably one of the bigger wild card teams heading into this season. Hard to say how they'll respond to everything that's happened. |

Agreed, Wilson really screwed the pooch trying to get Thornton and Marleau to waive NTC's they just signed. The Sharks were always a lock to make the playoffs. Who knows now. |

And on the ice. see; the last several seasons, and no major changes to convince anyone otherwise. |

As long as they can put the outside factors aside, and Wilson doesn't do anything foolish, there's no reason they can't have another 100 point season. |

I agree, but you gotta wonder how the locker room is gonna react to everything. Still a playoff team without doubt, but are they a contender? |

I don't think threatening to trade Thornton and Marleau is going to turn this ~110 point team into a ~90 point team. If anything, it should motivate them.
No one cares what this team does in the season though. It's another cup or bust year in SJ, and there will (should?) be hell to pay if it's another bust. |

I think if they don't reach the Finals that management/coaching staffs should be all let go. They've been given enough time to produce a Finals product. |

More than enough time, IMO. I was pretty shocked no off-ice changes were made this summer. |

I should start a Babcock to SJ rumor based on that. Lol. |

Tried commenting on your last post but the site was having te4chinacal difficulties.
How did Tye McGinn look in the rookie games? He should be ahead of Scott and maybe even Brown and Burish in the pecking order. Plus Philly fans were high on him.
Also interested in new guys like Goldobin and Bergman and guys who may make the roster like Tierney and Mueller |

McGinn wasn't involved in the rookie games, he will be at the main camp. I would like to think most of the players under contract are ahead of Scott in the pecking order, that being said I think McGinn, Brown, Burish and Scott will be used sparingly throughout the season. Burish and Brown are most likely going to see the ice more but training camp will decide the ins and outs of the bottom six.
Tierney figures to see some action this year in San Jose and will be a major part of Worcester in the AHL and all signs point to Mueller being given a shot at the NHL.
